Will have a 50/50 raffle (7:30 to pick the winner)

Our new website is launching this weekend. Check back often for updates, news and photos from the upcoming Spring Soccer Season.

The countdown continues to NHSA SPRING SOCCER '09! We had another successful sign up this afternoon and look to be increasing our total number of players for the fourth straight season! Our ACADEMY combined with our 5 new TRAVEL TEAMS will put our numbers near 300 total NHSA soccer players!
Our meetings with The Sagamore Hills Trustees are going well regarding field fees at Sagamore Park. They are treating our league respectfully and are being fair. We are pleased to have their time and attention and are seeking their help in growing soccer in the area. Our long term goals include creating a full-blown soccer facility for the area. We want to continue to grow and improve soccer in the area.

KATIE KRUSE, the varsity girls' head coach at NORDONIA HIGH SCHOOL and NHSA Travel Coach for our U-12 girls has now added a U-14 girls team. Our goal is to create a filter program for the high school program to better soccer in our area.

We also have a couple of openings for U-10 Boys' Travel Soccer. If you have a U-10 boys player who is interested, call us at 440-570-2593.

We are looking to hear from our coaches about the upcoming season. We have a coaches meeting on Thursday, April 9th at 6:30pm at The Nordonia Hills Library. Please plan on attending if you are interested in coaching.

NHSA NEWS AND NOTES

The NHSA is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the ALL NEW www.NHSASOCCER.ORG. The site will have an exciting new look and it will be easier to navigate. Look for the announcement coming VERY soon! The NHSA website is constantly updated with photos, info and a blog often and we encourage you to check back throughout the season.

The NHSA will be meeting with the Sagamore Hills Trustees on Monday evening. The 7pm meeting is open to the public and will focus on The NHSA's use of Sagamore Park. There have been concerns about the useage of the park in general and there is discussion about additional fees being charged to the league. Last week, members of the NHSA attended the trustee meeting where there was open discussion about use of the park. We welcome you to support us at the meeting and we thank the trustees for giving us a forum to talk about soccer in the area.

We are sad to report the sudden closing of THE SOCCER CENTER. They had two locations and were our suppliers for uniforms for The NHSA. It's a great loss to the local soccer community. We wish their people the best.

The NHSA will be featured on the front page of The Newsleader in the next several days. We are so proud of what WE have accomplished in the local soccer community and we are happy to be able to share our story with the area.

SATURDAY'S REGISTRATION AT NORDONIA!

Our registration this weekend was quite strong and put us on pace with our Fall Season. We have around 170 players registered for the academy! We have also put together FIVE travel teams that will begin play this spring! We are so thrilled about the growth of The Nordonia Hills Soccer Association and soccer in general in the area! Thank you for your support! We can take registrations by telephone at 440-570-2593. Watch for more on-site sign ups in the next couple of weeks. The sooner you register, the more it helps us prepare for the upcoming season.

NHSA NEWS AND NOTES....

The NHSA enjoyed another big registration day at The Eaton Estate Clubhouse today. 29 players signed up for The Spring Soccer Academy. The NHSA is on pace for another successful season this spring in Nordonia Hills. We are still accepting registrations over the phone at 440-570-2593 and we have more in-person sign-ups at The Eaton Estate Clubhouse and The Nordonia Library. NATHAN JUCHA has signed on to head the NHSA's U-8 academy soccer this spring session. Nathan and his family have been a huge part of the NHSA's success. Their extra time and effort is greatly appreciated and we are excited to have them back this season!

BRIAN DOSSA is back to head up The NHSA's U-6 academy soccer. Brian has been with the NHSA from the start and has three daughter's who play in the league with us. His enthusiasm for the game and passion for working with kids make him instrumental in making The NHSA "THE LEAGUE HAVIN' THE MOST FUN!"

NHSA TRAVEL SOCCER

The NHSA has added FIVE new travel teams to The Nordonia Hills area. Our goal is to graduate our kids from the academy to our travel program and eventually filter them into The Nordonia High School Program. We now offer U-9 and U-10 Boys Travel Soccer and U-10,12 and U-14 Girls Travel Soccer. For more, check out our NHSA TRAVEL PAGE here on the website.
